Welcome

Welcome to Yarrow Psychotherapy

At Yarrow Psychotherapy I believe in creating a safe and inclusive environment that facilitates self-exploration and healing.

Practice Update

As of July 2022, I have relocated to PEI to work at PEI’s Rape and Sexual Assault Centre as a Youth Trauma Therapist. I am very excited about this opportunity and sad to announce that I am no longer accepting clients in my private practice. I will keep this page updated with my professional status.

It is a possibility that in the future, I will open up my practice to new clients. Although there is no guarantee when that will be, if you would like your name to be added to a waitlist that I will notify first, feel free to send me an email stating so.

Heal slowly, with patience, curiousity, and love. See yourself. Bloom.
Allow yourself to be seen. Flourish.
Open yourself to the thousand leaves of yarrow.
Feel love and protection.
Share love and protection.

What does Yarrow have to do with psychotherapy?

Yarrow is a resilient plant, it grows in harsh conditions with little water. Yarrow grows across Canada and the northern hemisphere. It is present all around us and offers beautiful flowers throughout the spring and summer. I appreciate the parallels that Yarrow has to those of us seeking psychotherapy. Just as Yarrow is resilient and can weather tough conditions, so can we.

There is also a mythical history to Yarrow, folklore says that Achilles carried it into battle to treat wounds because it is known to stop the flow of blood. The healing properties of the plant are also something I wish to cultivate at Yarrow Psychotherapy. I believe that we all can heal and thrive and we have the resources we need within ourselves. Just like how Yarrow grows within our Canadian backyard, resilience and healing grow within us.
